The works she does with Friends for Awareness is a passion of hers! Compassion is truly her passion and she hopes to continue giving back to grieving parents and those in need for many years to come!
Mother, wife, daughter, friend. Kristina has two beautiful children, Jacob who would be 7 years old now, and Emma who is 4. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and also her fur babies. Kristina and her husband Tommy just bought their first home together in Louisa County, VA. So she enjoys spending a lot of time in their new home. Kristina feels most relaxed listening to the waves crash on the beach. As parent that's has lost a child, it is very import for us to support each other. To let bereaved parents know that they are not alone. That's why Friends for Awareness was started. Along with being on our Board of Directors, Kristina is our Volunteer Coordinator. Friends for Awareness is so important to her because she wants other grieving parents to if possible take comfort in knowing we are there for them.
Wife, Mother of 3 (2 who reside in heaven), sister, aunt, and friend. Tamika enjoys spending time with her husband, cooking, and watching basketball! Tamika is on our board of directors, our organizations president, and our giving back project coordinator! Friends for a Awareness is so important to Tamika because she wants other grieving parents to know that they are not alone and that there are resources available to help them throughout the grief process. Friends for Awareness is also a way for Tamika to keep sharing her son Kyrie's (who was stillborn at 29 weeks) story. Tamika's favorite quote is "a person's a person no matter how small" by Dr. Seuss. It's a reminder that no matter when your child died they were very much wanted and still loved! ❤️
